What You Need to Prepare Before You Start Investing
If you’ve made the decision to seriously dive into investing, congratulations — you’ve already taken your first step toward financial growth.
Like any craft, investing requires a basic set of tools. Thankfully, the list is short and easy to put together.
To save you time, I’ve compiled a simple checklist of what you’ll need to get started.
The good news? Setting everything up won’t take long at all.

Your Starter Kit for Investing
1. Email Accounts
To work with online investment platforms, you’ll need at least one email address for registrations.
I actually recommend setting up several email accounts:
- Primary email — strictly for wallets and payment systems. This address should remain private for security reasons.
- Secondary email — for signing up to investment platforms and services.
- Backup email — for correspondence and receiving service notifications.
Gmail.com is the best option — it’s reliable, secure, and widely supported.
2. Cryptocurrency Wallet
If you plan to invest in crypto assets, you’ll need a secure and user-friendly wallet.
I highly recommend using Trust Wallet — it’s easy to use and supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and many others.
(You can find a detailed guide on how to install Trust Wallet here.)
3. Funding Your Wallet
Once your wallet is set up, the next step is to fund it.
The easiest and safest way is to buy cryptocurrency through a reputable exchange.
I recommend Bybit — one of the most reliable platforms with a simple interface and strong security features.
On Bybit, you can purchase crypto directly with your bank card.
To get started, you’ll need to buy USDT on the Tron (TRC20) network and a small amount of TRX to cover network fees.
I suggest having an extra $10 worth of TRX to avoid frequent small top-ups.
(A step-by-step guide for registering on Bybit can be found here.)
